BLUPOWER is a partially implantable, peripherally located central venous catheter.

The BLUPOWER package also includes some disposable instruments that form an integral part of the device.

BLUPOWER is provided sterile, non-pyrogenic and for single use only. The implantable part of the catheter is made of radiopaque and biocompatible polyurethane and exhibits close diameter reductions and length ratings.

BLUPOWER is indicated to be peripherally implanted access to the central venous system for short to long-term use in order to allow intravenous administration of fluids, drugs, nutritional therapy and blood collection.

• The catheter must be inserted through a vein of the upper arm.

• The catheter can be offered with an introving retention ring and a subcutaneous coagulator.

• Available with special insertion kit, 21g puncture needle, 0.018 "x50cm wire, 3.5fr, 4.5fr, 5.5fr, 6.5fr x 7cm, measuring tape, blade No. 11.

• BLUPOWER PICC is also suitable for "Dynamic Infusion" of contrast media with a maximum flow rate depending on catheter size: 3FR -6FR probe, single, double and triple lumen and flow rate 2mL-7ml / sec

• The maximum viscosity of the contrast medium is 12 cP (pre-heating of the contrast medium at body temperature is mandatory).

The maximum dynamic injection pressure is 300psi - Only when used in conjunction with the BLUPOWER expansion kit or equivalent.

Venous catheters with BLUPOWER peripheral insertion are indicated for patients requiring short or medium-term intravenous therapies. BLUPOWER also indicated for: blood uptake; administration of chemotherapeutic drugs;  administration of antibiotics; administration of drugs for analgesic therapy.
